Designer, UX Designer, Photographer, Product Manager, Marketing
I led the role of the photographer, product manager, designer, and UX designer. I was tasked with completely creating an online presence for this project. This entailed developing branding and a logo as well as a website and running social media.
-
My task was to design an easier way for users to access the products offered by the company Pete’s Sakes. They needed a platform to seamlessly keep track, catalog, and showcase what Pete’s Sakes has to offer. With no prior web presence and no set categorization of any of the products, Pete’s Sakes was quickly becoming overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the demand to sell. If Pete’s Sakes didn’t have it on hand at the shows they sold at customers were only able to trust through word of mouth that the Pete’s Sakes had what piece they were in search of. Under the circumstances of COVID and that there are little to no shows offered it became apparent a new way to sell products was a necessity to keep this business running.

This project started with organizing inventory and coming up with a system to photograph and categorize over 1,000 products. I started with the framed pieces, organizing them by category then assigning a sku number as well as repackaging these items to keep them safe. I took professional grade photos of each and every piece making note of sizes for potential customers. Then the photos were edited and a csv file with detailed product information was created and uploaded on to the designed website for customers to begin their shopping experience. This process was then repeated with the unframed products.

Pete’s Sakes is a responsive, simple, informative, and clean e-commerce website. With a user-centered design it is easy to use and seamlessly gives users the information they would want if they were to buy one of these pieces including but not limited to sizing and price.
