It is extremely hard to plan for a wedding with a million and one details to figure out. Many people get extremely stressed and end up hiring extra help on top of an already expensive event. The goal with Betrothed is to create a service that helps users stay organized, be less stressed, and save money/time.

After realizing where the challenge was it was easy to begin work by starting out with a list of JTBD (jobs to be done). This was created by doing research on what steps were actually needed in the process of creating a wedding. Next it was followed with a slu of other research that helped inform the integrity of the design of this app.

Betrothed is most essentially a wedding planning app. It is there to help brides, grooms, and anyone else involved in the planning process stay focused and organized on the tasks at hand. Whether you have planned your wedding day since you were 5 or have no idea what you want, Betrothed is here to help.

It can aid in the process of reducing costs and saving time by having a place where all the information you need as a bride/groom on the topic is located and readily available. To make the planning process less stressful and more enjoyable one of Betrothed's features include a schedule, individualized to the user's wedding day, that sets smaller goals for the user to complete and reminders in order to get everything done on time. There are people getting married all the time and there are so many people out there who do not have the resources to afford an actual wedding planner on top of the prices and time spent on a wedding and need a way to keep it all together.
